Senior AI Consultant
Lead our client-facing consulting engagements from first conversation to final playback.
We help companies move from AI curiosity to AI capability. We embed in their leadership teams and leave behind the tools, habits and confidence they need to keep going after we leave. Our ethos is simple. Help, not hype. People before prompts.
Send your CV, LinkedIn and links to anything you’ve built, with a short note.
What we’re looking for
The person in the room. You lead our client-facing consulting engagements end to end, across the AI Health Assessment, AI Foundations, AI Governance and the strategic advisory work that follows.
Consulting is the front door to everything else we do, and right now it runs through a very small number of people. Every engagement needs someone senior enough to hold a room of C-suite executives, ask the questions nobody inside the business has asked, then tell them what the answers mean. That’s the gap.
The AI Health Assessment is the flagship. Our platform benchmarks a client’s AI maturity across weighted pillars using the ARIA framework and produces a scored baseline with a prioritised roadmap. You own the engagement around it: scoping, the interviews, the analysis and the playback that earns the right to the next phase of work. Then you lead that phase too.
You’ve already built AI into how you work. Not as an experiment, as the reason you get through the day.
What you’ll be responsible for
Own AI Health Assessment engagements end to end: client scoping, discovery interviews, signal capture across the ARIA pillars, scoring, analysis and executive playback.
Lead AI Foundations engagements, building the leadership structures, AI operating models and capability frameworks the assessment flags as gaps.
Deliver AI Governance modules: policy frameworks, risk classification, decision rights, regulatory readiness and responsible AI practice.
Facilitate structured interviews across a client’s C-suite, department heads and operational leads, and create the conditions where people say what they actually think. Reading questions off a sheet is not facilitation.
Build the strategic narrative. What the evidence says, why it matters to this business and what they should do on Monday morning.
Run the playback. Hold the room, including the moment a finding lands badly and somebody in the room gets defensive.
Be the client’s main point of contact throughout, and stay close after the engagement closes for measurement and reassessment.
Spot follow-on work (implementation, change management, ongoing advisory), qualify it and hand it over warm. Never salesy.
Use AI properly across the whole process: interview prep, transcript analysis, pattern spotting, synthesis and drafting client deliverables.
Improve the methodology as you go. You’ll see patterns across engagements that nobody else sees, and the ARIA framework and scoring model should get sharper because of it.
Manage and mentor Associate AI Consultants as the team grows, and write down the templates and quality standards that keep delivery consistent without making it feel like a factory.
Contribute to our thought leadership. Writing, speaking and putting a view out there.
What you won’t own: the technical build. Agents, automations and platform work sit with our engineering team, though you’ll often be the one who scopes it.
A bit more about you
7+ years in consulting, advisory or professional services, leading client-facing engagements rather than supporting them.
Strong facilitator. You’ve run workshops, discovery sessions and interviews with senior leaders and you build trust fast.
You understand change management, technology adoption and digital transformation, and you’ve watched what happens when a company buys the technology without building anything around it.
Experience with AI strategy, AI governance, maturity assessments or digital readiness frameworks. You know what good looks like across leadership, governance, data, technology and people.
You’ve built or shaped a consulting framework, maturity model or assessment methodology, not just followed someone else’s.
Comfortable with technology. You don’t need to write code, but you do need to hold a credible conversation with a CTO about architecture, data flows and why AI systems fall over in production.
You use AI heavily in your own work, every day, by choice.
You can take hours of messy interview data and find the signal in it.
Strong presenter. You can deliver an uncomfortable finding and leave the room energised rather than defensive.
You’ve managed or mentored junior consultants or analysts.
Commercially aware. Every engagement is a front door, and how you deliver decides whether the client comes back.
You’re happy wearing lots of hats. We’re small and this spec will be out of date within a quarter.
Direct Selling experience is a plus, not a requirement. Learning a client’s world quickly matters more. We’ll provide training on the industry.
Nice to have
Technology migration programmes, ERP transitions or platform modernisation
Data governance, data quality or data strategy consulting
Formal change management certification (Prosci, ADKAR or similar)
Building or refining maturity assessment frameworks and scoring models
A track record of thought leadership: writing, speaking at events or a personal brand in consulting or AI
How this process works
Intro call, 30 minutes
Engagement walkthrough with our core team. Take us through a piece of work you led end to end, and what changed for the client afterwards.
Practical exercise: live facilitation, playback of a sample dataset, or both.
Final conversation with Dan and Matt
What we’re offering
Ownership of our consulting practice at the point where it’s about to scale. You’d be the senior consulting hire, so you shape the methodology rather than inherit a playbook.
A permanent, fully remote role and the potential to participate in our share option scheme.
Direct access to the founders and to C-suite clients across the UK, Europe and the US. No layers.
