Support queries cut by more than half

The challenge
A top-20 direct selling company had thousands of independent ambassadors in the field, all relying on the same limited support channels: manual chats and phone calls into a central customer support team.
The result was predictable. Support queues grew. Response times lagged. Ambassadors who needed quick answers about products, incentives or training content were left waiting, and the support team was stretched thin handling repetitive, low-complexity queries that could have been resolved instantly with the right tooling.
There was no self-serve option. No AI. No way for ambassadors to get what they needed without adding to the queue.
What we did
Inovara designed and built ChatIQ, a conversational AI assistant purpose-built for the company’s ambassador network. Unlike generic chatbot platforms, ChatIQ was built around the specific workflows, language and data that direct selling teams actually use day to day.
ChatIQ gives ambassadors instant, 24/7 access to:
Product information covering the full catalogue, so ambassadors can confidently answer customer questions without escalating
Incentive and commission data so they can check targets, qualification criteria and earnings without contacting support
Digital brand assets pulled directly from the company’s asset library, ready to use in social selling and outreach
Training and enablement content surfaced contextually, helping newer ambassadors ramp faster
The assistant was designed to feel like a knowledgeable teammate rather than a support ticket form, with natural conversational flows and responses tailored to how ambassadors actually ask questions.
Results
Within the first four to six weeks of launch, daily active users tripled. Chat volumes followed the same trajectory, confirming that ambassadors weren’t just logging in but actively using the tool as part of their daily routine.
The customer support team reported a reduction in inbound queries of over 50%. That freed up significant capacity which could be redirected towards higher-value work: resolving complex cases, supporting top-performing ambassadors and improving the overall support experience.
Crucially, adoption happened organically. The tool was built so closely around the ambassador experience that usage grew through word of mouth across the field, not through top-down mandates.
Why it matters
Most AI tools built for enterprise weren’t designed with direct selling in mind. They don’t understand the ambassador model, the incentive structures, or the way field teams operate independently at scale.
ChatIQ was different because it was built from the ground up for this exact context. That’s what drove the adoption curve, and it’s what separates industry-native AI from generic alternatives.
Summary
A conversational assistant gave thousands of ambassadors answers at any hour. Use tripled through word of mouth and support queries fell by half.
